Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 14, 2026  |  Last Updated: February 14, 2026

Our commitment: CrowdVeil exists to protect your privacy. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate our service, we never sell your personal information, and we design every system to minimize your digital footprint.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Most Of Us Seek Excellence LLC, doing business as M.O.U.S.E. LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the CrowdVeil platform, website (crowdveil.app), mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account or join our waitlist, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (as required for identity verification)
  • Phone number (for account security)
  • Date of birth (for age verification and regulatory compliance)

2.2 Identity Verification Information

To comply with financial regulations (Know Your Customer / Anti-Money Laundering requirements), we may collect:

  • Government-issued identification documents
  • Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number (for U.S. users)
  • Proof of address documentation

This information is processed by our regulated financial partners and is not stored on CrowdVeil servers after verification is complete.

2.3 Financial Information

To facilitate transactions through our Service, we may collect:

  • Linked bank account or debit card information (processed and stored by our payment processor, Stripe)
  • Transaction history (amount, date, merchant category — but not the specific merchant identity as seen by our system)

Important: CrowdVeil uses a Just-in-Time funding model. We do not hold balances or store raw payment card numbers on our servers. All payment credentials are tokenized and managed by our PCI DSS-compliant payment infrastructure partner.

2.4 Usage Information

We automatically collect limited technical information when you use the Service:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • General geographic region (country-level, not precise location)

We do not collect browsing history, search queries, or website activity conducted through the CrowdVeil in-app browser. This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2.5 Waitlist Information

If you join our waitlist, we collect only your email address for the purpose of notifying you when the Service becomes available.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Process transactions, generate virtual cards, and facilitate anonymous purchases on your behalf.
  • Verify your identity: Comply with KYC/AML regulations as required by law and our financial partners.
  • Maintain security: Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
  • Improve the Service: Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve performance and reliability.
  • Communicate with you: Send transactional notifications, security alerts, and (with your consent) product updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests from regulatory authorities and law enforcement.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We may share information with:

  • Payment infrastructure partners: Our payment processor (Stripe) and issuing bank partners receive the minimum information necessary to process transactions and issue virtual cards.
  • Identity verification providers: Third-party KYC/AML service providers process identity documents on our behalf.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

Identity Pooling & Merchant Data: When you make a purchase through CrowdVeil, the merchant sees our corporate entity as the purchaser — not your personal information. Your transaction is pooled with other users' transactions under a single identity, making individual tracking by merchants, advertisers, and data brokers impossible.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion request.
  • Transaction records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.
  • Identity verification documents: Processed and then deleted within 90 days of successful verification. Not stored on CrowdVeil servers.
  • Browsing data: Never collected or stored by CrowdVeil. Remains on your local device only.
  • Waitlist emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or the waitlist period ends.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • 256-bit TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest
  • PCI DSS-compliant payment processing infrastructure
  • SOC 2 Type II audited systems and processes
  • Regular penetration testing and security audits
  • Access controls with principle of least privilege

While we take extensive measures to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
  • Restrict processing: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@crowdveil.app.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Note: We do not sell personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and payment infrastructure are located. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions where we operate.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our platform.

12. Cookies and Tracking

The CrowdVeil website uses only essential cookies necessary for the functioning of the site (e.g., session management, security tokens). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or social media pixels on our website.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and, where possible, by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
